th Iberoamerican Academy of Management conference, hosted by IAE Business School in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 9-11, 2009.
The theme of the 6th Iberoamerican Academy of Management International Conference is “The Time of Iberoamerica”.
The emergence of business schools throughout the region and the increase in the number of qualified Iberoamerican scholars seems to indicate the beginning of a new era in education and research. However, resources for research are scant, while educational standards have only been freshly established and remain heterogeneous across institutions.
The questions we ask in Iberoamerica partially differ from those asked by scholars, practitioners, and policy makers in other regions of the world. The 2009 IAM conference will be a forum to raise and discuss these questions. We welcome papers addressing specific issues in strategy, policy, governance, operations, human development, entrepreneurship, and the like in Iberoamerica.
