The overall theme of this first international
conference was "Management related theory and research: An Iberoamerican perspective." We invited high quality papers on management issues related to an Iberoamerican context with theoretical or methodological rigor.
The program consisted of keynote speeches, competitive papers, symposia and interactive poster sessions selected by the program scientific committee. Several distinguished professors of management agreed to serve as keynote speakers. Some of the speakers included Andrew Van de Ven, Michael Hitt, William Starbuck, Robert Hoskisson and Anne S. Huff.
