IAOM Doctoral Consortium at AOM 2025
The 2025 Iberoamerican Division Doctoral Student Consortium offers an exceptional opportunity for doctoral students to gain insights, receive expert mentorship, and engage in meaningful academic discussions. This event will take place in person at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AoM) in Copenhagen, Denmark and is designed to help participants navigate the challenges of doctoral research.
This 90-minute session is structured to provide focused training, one-on-one mentoring with senior scholars, and networking opportunities with peers and experts in the field of economics and business.
The Consortium offers two prestigious awards that recognize outstanding doctoral research:
• Iberoamerican AOM Research Award: This award highlights the best research abstract in the field of management and business administration, with a particular focus on studies related to the Iberoamerican context. It values originality, scientific quality, and methodological rigor, emphasizing research that examines organizational dynamics, business strategies, and management phenomena in the region.
• ECN-ACEDE Research Award: This award acknowledges the best PhD proposal, recognizing excellence in originality, quality, and rigor. The winner will receive a certificate and a one-year free membership to ACEDE (Spanish Academy of Management), granting access to training programs, research resources, and networking opportunities within the Early-Career Network (ECN).
Application and Participation Guidelines
The Doctoral Student Consortium is free of charge, but participants must register in advance. While the session does not require participants to formally present their research, applicants must submit relevant materials as part of the endorsement process.
Eligibility
The Consortium welcomes doctoral students at any stage of their dissertation research. However, applicants must be actively working on their dissertation and should have their thesis proposal approved before the conference. Candidates who have already completed their PhD are not eligible to apply.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit the following documents by April 4, 2025:
1. A 1-2 page CV, including:
• Contact information
• Academic background
• Research and teaching interests
• Research record (publications, conference presentations, etc.)
2. Endorsement from the dissertation advisor or doctoral program supervisor, confirming the applicant’s participation in the Consortium.
3. A three-page dissertation or thesis proposal outlining the research topic and objectives.
4. All documents should be sent in a single email to Jesús Molina (Co-Chair PDW IAOM) at [email protected].
Applicants will receive notification of acceptance by April 25, 2025.

Journal of Management Studies Special Issue CFP
A JMS Special Issue is a peer-reviewed collection of articles centered on a specific, underexplored theme within management studies. JMS encourages proposals that introduce new research directions, challenge existing conversations, or address previously neglected topics of significance. The Guest Editors oversee the entire review process, from manuscript submission to final decisions, with a dedicated JMS Editor ensuring consistency in editorial decisions. If accepted, Guest Editors must sign an agreement outlining their responsibilities.
JMS considers Special Issue proposals once a year, with a submission deadline of March 31. Decisions are typically communicated within one month. Proposals should be submitted as a Word or PDF document via email to Margaret Turner ([email protected]), preferably before the deadline. The proposal should not exceed five pages (excluding sections 6 and 7, and references) and must include an executive summary, justification for the issue’s significance and timeliness, demonstration of its novelty and originality compared to past Special Issues, an explanation of why JMS is the right platform, a proposed timeline and key activities, the backgrounds of the Guest Editors highlighting their expertise and editorial experience, and a list of potential contributors and reviewers with a global perspective.
