Ruth Mateos de Cabo

Ruth Mateos de Cabo is a Full Professor in the Department of Business Economics at Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid, Spain, and leads the Women Leadership research line of the USPCEU–Mutua Madrileña Chair. Her research focuses on corporate governance, gender diversity on boards and gender inequalities in leadership. She has served as Principal Investigator of three projects funded by Spain’s National R&D Programme and has published in international journals such as the British Journal of Management, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Ethics, Corporate Governance: An International Review, and European Management Journal. Her main distinctions include the Research Award from the Spanish Foundation for Financial Studies and the Runner-Up Best Paper Award from the International Corporate Governance Society, and the 2016 Corporate Governance Award for the best paper published in Corporate Governance: An International Review. Her research has also been featured in international media outlets such as The Economist and BBC World News.
